Zoology1: Flying Creatures 5th day

In this zoology course, we will study the many creatures that fill our skies, from backyard birds to exotic species, from the towering ostrich to the tiny gnat.  Students will begin with lessons on the taxonomy system and binomial nomenclature to understand how and why zoologists must classify species.  We will then explore topics such as the fundamentals of flight, bird anatomy/physiology and identifying field markings, nesting and hatching, bird migration, and even flying reptiles and insects.
