Weather and Earth Science

During the fall semester of this course, we will study the atmosphere and oceans of our planet earth. We will discover what weather is, what causes it, and how meteorologists study and predict it. In class, students will make their own weather station that they will use to record weather conditions at home.

The spring semester we will cover Earth Science. Students will learn how God designed the earth as a special place for us to live. We will cover topics such as glaciers, the layers of the earth, the formation of mountains, volcanoes and erosion.

For both semesters, students will have weekly reading assignments to be completed at home. In class, we will complete many experiments and hands-on activities to help students understand and remember their weekly reading assignments.
