U.S. History After 1877/U.S. Government

History is fascinating because it tells the stories of real people and real events. We can learn from these people and events and choose how to move forward. This class will explore U.S. history from the period following Reconstruction to the present. We will learn the facts about our country's history but will also explore the ways in which history looks different from different points of view.

We will also learn about the structure and history of the U.S. Government, paying special attention to the Constitution and the ways in which students can participate in government.
