High School Writing

This class will teach both literary analysis essays and research papers in a step by step process that builds student confidence. Students will have weekly writing assignments and will need access to a library. 

Homework: Approx. 2-5 hours per week

Stephanie Starr holds a BA in English literature from Southern Methodist University and is currently working on a master's degree in Humanities and Classical Education at the University of Dallas. She has four sons, all of whom she homeschooled from kindergarten through 12th grade. Her oldest graduated from the University of Dallas with a BA in history, and her second oldest will graduate this spring with a BS in physics. She has taught co-op classes in various states and is a reading/writing/spelling tutor. She also works as a freelance copywriter. She is passionate about helping students make connections, express themselves elegantly, and fall in love with literature and history.
