American Literature

This class will take students through the major authors and movements of American literature, from the Colonies to the modern age.  This is a low-stress approach to literature and will focus on helping the students learn to read well and closely.  We will put each work we read into its historical and social context, so that we can better understand he author's perspective.  My goal is that students learn to love literature!
