Coloring Lent An Adult coloring book for the Journey of Resurrection
The journey of Lent--from Ash Wednesday to Easter--is traditionally one of prayer, repentance, spiritual discipline, and meditation. But coloring?
Now you're invited to add the spiritual practice of "coloring the Bible" on your Lenten journey. Engage both sides of your brain as you read the scripture and color your way through each day of Lent with evocative illustrations of God's Resurrection story, from the Old Testament prophecies of Emmanuel to Jesus' victorious appearances after his crucifixion to the loyal Disciples. Dozens of drawings will draw you deeper into the story and your own place in it.
From the Introduction: "This moment of Easter is Good News for this Jesus, who is fully human and fully God, yet it is even better news for the world: God has not only moved into the world with humans but the fullness of God has taken on flesh. As you color these pages, then, consider how your fingertips, your palms, your body have now become the house of God, and following the stories of the Hebrew and New Testaments, consider how we might also walk the same journey of Jesus."
Grab your crayons, colored pencils and pens, and prepare to deepen your journey to Easter this year with Coloring Lent.

Journey With Jesus Stations of the Cross for School Children
Adapted from Journey of Decision, a Way of the Cross for adults, this children's Way engages children by having them actively participate. Fourteen readers represent characters from the passion of Jesus. Suggestions are given at the outset for props or symbolic costumes that achieve a two-fold purpose: they draw children into the story, thus helping them follow along.
As in the original Journey on which this children's adaptation is based, the text combines the traditional with the innovative. It asks children to journey with Jesus not just during this Way of the Cross but during every day of their lives.

Stations of the Cross With Pope John Paul II
On Good Friday 1991 in the Roman Colosseum, Pope John Paul II created new Stations of the Cross. He altered the fourteen traditional stations and added a fifteenth station on the Resurrection. All of the Stations His Holiness used were based on incidents in the Gospels.
Father Champlin adapts these historic stations--with their richly biblical approach--by featuring a short passage from the Gospel Passion narratives, a brief reflection, and a response adapted from the Psalms, set as a motet.

Take a healing journey with Sr. Miriam James Heidland, SOLT, as she helps you turn away from what wounds you and toward God who heals you and makes you whole.

Restore features stunning original art by Valerie Delgado of Pax.Valerie along with daily meditations on a passage from scripture, reflection questions, guided prayer, and space for journaling and notetaking.
Throughout Lent, you'll move through four different phases of healing, focusing on traditional Lenten practices:
- Prayer is the means of healing our relationship with God.
- Fasting disciplines us in healing our relationship with ourselves.
- Almsgiving leads us to healing our relationships with others.
- Sacrifice shows us the path to heaven and union with God.
If you enter into Lent with Christ, your heart will see more clearly, be pierced more easily, love more strongly, and serve more passionately. Jesus will be etched into the crevasses of your being.
Restore is perfect for both individual and group use. Free companion videos and a downloadable leader's guide are available at avemariapress.com.
