Description:  Interested in crime shows? Thinking about a career in forensics? Forensic science is a fun way to combine science concepts you’ve learned with real-life application. In this one-day class, we will look at several topics in forensic science. Students will analyze a mock crime scene with several activities, including blood spatter analysis; lifting and analyzing fingerprints; and hair and fiber analysis.

Description:  The science of physics is an attempt to explain everything that is observed in nature. This class is designed as a college‐prep physics course. Some important concepts covered are one and two‐dimensional motion, Newton’s laws and their applications in nature, work and energy, electricity, magnetism, momentum, periodic motion, and waves and optics. Students will also complete experiments during class to help bring the concepts to life and aid in student’s understanding.

This class will balance extensive scientific concepts with hands‐on classroom and lab activities, intriguing case studies, and careers in forensics.
