Description: This is a high school credit course for Algebra II. Some of the topics covered this year will be: graphical solution of simultaneous equations, scientific notation, radicals, roots of quadratic equations including complex roots, properties of real numbers, factoring, inequalities and systems of inequalities, logarithms and antilogarithms, conic sections, exponential equations, basic trigonometric functions, algebra of polynomials, vectors in polar and rectangular form, algebraic word problems, and more.

Materials Needed: Saxon Algebra II (3rd Edition) text book and solutions manual (both are available at HER Store), pencil, notebook paper, ruler, protractor, compass, and TI-84 Plus calculator.

Description: This is a high school credit course for Algebra I. Some of the topics covered this year will be: evaluation of expressions, exponents and roots, properties of real numbers, absolute value, equations and inequalities involving absolute value, scientific notation, unit conversions, solution of equations, polynomials and rational expressions, graphs of a variety of functions: linear, quadratic, cubic, square root, absolute value, etc., translations and reflections of graphs, factoring, Pythagorean theorem, algebraic proofs, functional notation and functions, direct and inverse variation, solution of quadratic equations by factoring, completing the square, quadratic formula, and more!


Materials Needed: Saxon Algebra I text book (2nd Edition) and solutions manual (both are available at HER Store), pencil, notebook paper, ruler, protractor, and compass.
