Description: These lessons are introductory private piano lesson. Students will learn all the basic music symbols, how to keep time and rhythm, identify all 12 notes on the keyboard and sheet music, and how to read them while playing beginner piano music. Students will learn music theory and history as they progress in their ability to play different music styles including classical, pop, sacred and many more. Parents are welcome and encouraged to sit in on the student's first lesson.

Materials Needed: Introductory music books assigned by the teacher (more specific information to come)

About the Teacher:  David is a piano player who started taking lessons at the age of 9. Over the years, he has advanced from children's recitals to church services, weddings and more. While he is most comfortable playing at home, he does love to perform on stage and is excited at the opportunity to teach others how to play like him!

Title: Performing Christian Dance for Girls

Description: Performing Christian Dance is a dance program designed for girls who have never danced before and want to be part of a performing dance group or who may have some dance experience and have a desire to dance for Jesus. Students will be challenged creatively to glorify Jesus through dance. Dance styles presented vary and may include ballet expression, interpretive, jazz, lyrical, pageantry and contemporary. All dances are choreographed to Christian music with lyrics that are age appropriate for each group. Dance movements will be clean expressions without inappropriate body movement. Body presentation and body line, as well as body rhythm and expression will be taught. In addition, each class includes flexibility and strength work to enhance body line and muscle endurance. Short Biblical lessons on the importance of the attitude of the heart and understanding dance from a Biblical perspective are incorporated into the class. The girls will present what they have learned at the end of the school year with a special spring recital.


Materials needed:  Students should bring a water bottle to each class.  Hair should be worn in a bun. Capri-length or ankle-length tights must be worn under shorts. Practice shirts will be distributed at the second class meeting.

The students will be like paleontologists and study facts about the extinct Pterosaurs (winged lizards). Many hands-on experiments including: dissection of grasshoppers and owl pellets, insect mounting/display, and microscopic examinations of various wing types (feathers, butterflies, and other insects) will further the student's understanding of Zoology. We will also compare and contrast the flight of birds with airplanes. Homework will consist of reading, studying, collecting, drawing and labeling. So join our class and have fun being a zoologist!
